Case study
Buderim Ginger
Field to fork, for a household name.
Brand film · Product photography · Social series · Product launches · The Ginger Factory
The visual campaign by Wild Bunch — and none of it would have been possible without the help of the legends at Social Tap. Big love to them.
Field
The plantations, the growers and the harvest — the story behind a product most people only meet on a shelf.
Shelf
Much of the product photography and video across the range, and the launch films when the brand moved into drinks.
Factory
Content and marketing for The Ginger Factory, the attraction where the brand meets its public.
The film
From rhizome to jar.
What we did
One relationship, six parts.
- Brand film
- Shot on the plantations: real growers, real harvest, the journey from the field to the jar. The provenance the label can only claim, shown.
- Social series
- Planting, rhizomes, harvest — a series cut from the same shoot, so the feed carried the same world as the film.
- Product photography
- A large part of the range’s product video and stills — imagery that still sits on the shelf, the site and the shop, alongside work the brand has added since.
- Product launches
- When the brand moved into drinks: the launch films for Early Days, a ginger spirit, and for the ginger cocktail-mixer range. Same visual world, new category.
- The Ginger Factory
- Content and marketing for the attraction itself — the place where the brand stops being a product and becomes a day out.
- Corporate
- The AGM film, from the same footage. One shoot, every audience.
The launches
Same world. New category.
Two years after the plantation shoot, the brand went into drinks. The launch films for Early Days and the mixer range were built from the visual language the field film established — the ginger, the light, the hands.
This is what a format is for. Years later, when the brand refreshed its film, it kept the shape we set — the same sequence, the same story, new footage. A campaign that can only be used once was never a campaign; it was a shoot. This one survived its own footage.
What happened next
One campaign that kept producing.
2021 → 2023
One plantation shoot became the brand film, the social series, the corporate film and, two years on, the launch material for a new product category.
Two brands
Buderim Ginger and The Ginger Factory, one visual world.
Field to shelf
Imagery from the plantation shoot still runs through the product pages, years on.
No sales figure here — this was content and campaign work, and the client’s numbers are theirs. What is checkable is in the files: the dates on the footage, and that the site still carries the work today. Not all of it is ours — the brand has kept adding — and a large part of it is.
“The format outlived the shoot. Then it outlived the footage.”
With Social Tap, as said at the top. Big love.
Got a story nobody has seen?
The film, the photography and the formats that keep it working — as one job.
