Selected Work

Every project started with something that needed to be sold, launched or explained. Here is the video, photography and campaign work behind it — and what happened next.

A wall-repair product with no category to sit in and no profile to trade on.

An Italian craft brand competing for attention in a crowded category.

Built from zero

Wild Bunch Naturals

We don’t only advise. We’ve done it ourselves.

A natural insect-repellent range taken from nothing to a launched consumer brand. Our own money, our own risk.

We were one contributor among many. These are the businesses’ outcomes, not our claims.

01

Sell Something

Launches, campaigns and conversion work — turning a product into something people understand and want.

For products, brands and offers that needed the video, imagery and proposition to move an audience from first impression to purchase.

Acqua Noosa

Acqua Noosa

Fragrance · brand film · AI Studio · ecommerce

The Problem
A distinctive fragrance with a strong sense of place, and a digital presence that treated the film, the imagery and the shop as separate jobs.
The Strategy
Treat the website as the destination for the whole visual journey: work out what a customer needs to see, understand and believe on the way to purchase, then build the assets and the site around that.
The Creative
The brand film shot on location; product, lifestyle and campaign imagery and a promotional film from the AI Studio; an ecommerce site rebuilt around the journey, with all 21 of the old site’s indexed pages redirected so years of search value survived.
The Outcome
76% of wholesale customers reordered within a week of launch. Direct sales encouraging; a fuller report follows. Six months of campaigns made and diarised.
“Wild Bunch refreshed the whole system — website, film, imagery and ecommerce — rather than treating them as separate jobs.”
— Katja, founder, Acqua Noosa

Milton Rum Distillery

Milton Rum Distillery

Craft rum · brand film · with Social Tap

The Problem
A new craft distillery in a crowded category, with a maker worth meeting and nothing yet that let a customer meet him.
The Strategy
Lead with the people and the place. A founder-led film built around the distiller, the still and the process — the things a spirits brand can show that a label cannot say.
The Creative
Film and strategy by Wild Bunch: the four-minute Milton Rum Story and its cut-downs for social. Website by Social Tap, built as the destination for it. One system, two specialists.
The Outcome
Still the film on their homepage six years on. A founder film outlasts the campaign it was made for — which is why we recommend them.

Inflatafix

Inflatafix

Wall-repair product · raised US$500,000+ · acquired

The Problem
A genuinely useful wall-repair product with no established category to sit in, no profile, and investors who needed to understand the opportunity before they would fund it.
The Strategy
Define the proposition in the customer’s language first, then build the investor story on the same foundation — so what convinced a buyer and what convinced a backer were the same argument.
The Creative
Product proposition, investor story and the launch materials that carried both.
The Outcome
The materials supported a capital raise of more than US$500,000. The company was acquired three years later for an undisclosed amount.
SolidTeknics

SolidTeknics

Iron cookware · Kickstarter

The Problem
An unfamiliar product with genuine technical advantages that a Kickstarter audience had no easy way to understand — and no reason to back.
The Strategy
Identify the single reason to care, then structure the proposition around it so the technical detail supported the argument rather than leading it.
The Creative
We developed the narrative, structured the proposition and created the video assets needed to turn technical product details into a compelling reason to buy.
The Outcome
Delivered as a Kickstarter-ready campaign.
Zumbo Skool

Zumbo Skool

Online education platform · with Social Tap

The Problem
The knowledge of one of the world’s leading pastry chefs existed in his hands, his kitchen and his reputation — not in anything a person could buy. Demand for what he knew was far greater than the number of people he could ever teach in a room.
The Strategy
Treat it as a product, not a website. Structure specialist expertise and personal brand authority into something a global audience could understand, value and pay for.
The Creative
Developed in collaboration with Social Tap: structured digital courses and learning resources built around the chef’s techniques and creative world.
The Outcome
A commercially successful platform that extended the chef’s reputation into a scalable education product.
McCormick’s — Gourmet Garden

McCormick’s — Gourmet Garden

Lightly dried herbs · global food brand

The Problem
Launching a new format of herb — lightly dried, holding far more flavour than dried alternatives — into a category where shoppers had no reason to change what they already bought. A new product has to educate before it can sell.
The Strategy
Rather than trying to change cooking habits, work with one: most households rotate the same handful of dishes every week. Build the campaign around those dishes, and around the moments fresh herbs let people down — short shelf life, and the difficulty of carrying them camping or on a road trip.
The Creative
A campaign of commonly cooked recipes made with the product, created with chefs including Dominique Rizzo and Kim McCosker alongside industry-specific micro-influencers — each piece answering a specific problem we had identified.
The Outcome
Now one of Gourmet Garden’s most successful products.

Buderim Ginger

Buderim Ginger

Australian ginger · field to fork · brand campaign · The Ginger Factory

The Problem
A household Australian name with a story almost nobody had seen: the plantations, the people and the process behind a product most customers only meet on a supermarket shelf.
The Strategy
Take the brand back to the field. A campaign built around real growers, real harvest and the journey from rhizome to jar — show the provenance the label can only claim.
The Creative
The visual campaign, by Wild Bunch with a hat tip to Social Tap: the brand film shot on the plantations, a social series on planting and harvest, a large part of the range’s product photography and video, content and marketing for The Ginger Factory, and — when the brand moved into drinks — the launch films for Early Days, a ginger spirit, and for the ginger cocktail-mixer range. None of it would have been possible without the legends at Social Tap.
The Outcome
One campaign that kept producing: the field-to-fork footage became the social series, the corporate film and, two years on, the foundation for a new product category. The format outlived the shoot.

IGA / Metcash

National retail · Christmas campaign · creator collaborations

The Problem
A major national retail brand needed Christmas campaign content that would cut through the most crowded advertising period of the year and generate genuine customer response, not just seasonal wallpaper.
The Strategy
Build the campaign around a personality audiences would believe: a collaboration with emerging chef Dominique Rizzo, giving the brand a human, credible voice rather than generic seasonal messaging. The creator was chosen for the trust she already held with the audience, not for reach alone.
The Creative
A series of Christmas videos directed and produced by Wild Bunch, with a distinct style deliberately elevated above category norms. The same approach carried into a collaboration with Adriano Zumbo for IGA Marketplace.
The Outcome
In the client’s own words:
“Sam and his very talented team at Wild Bunch Media worked on our IGA Christmas videos, incorporating emerging chef Dominique Rizzo. I found Sam and his team extremely professional, focussed and easy to work with. Importantly they brought a uniqueness and style to the videos that really elevated the work. IGA has received huge positive feedback as a result. Fantastic team to work with.”
— Loane Avenell, Metcash Branding Manager

Betta

Electrical retail · creator campaigns · +26% pre-Christmas sales

The Problem
An electrical retailer selling domestic appliances, televisions and white goods, where listings and specifications did little to show shoppers what owning any of it would actually be like.
The Strategy
Show the products in use rather than on a shelf, through people the audience already followed and believed — creators chosen for credibility with that audience rather than reach alone.
The Creative
A series of creator-led campaigns built around products in real use, including a collaboration with Kim McCosker, timed to the pre-Christmas trading period.
The Outcome
The campaign drove pre-Christmas sales 26% above the previous year.
Bella & Boots

Bella & Boots

Organic raw pet food · growth and exit

The Problem
An organic raw pet food business under new ownership — a premium, human-grade range in a category most shoppers buy on habit. The new owner was a former stockbroker who had never worked in pet food, and by his own description was “an absolute idiot” when it came to it.
The Strategy
Establish what the brand actually stood for and who it was for, then set the commercial direction that inexperience would otherwise have had to guess at.
The Creative
Positioning, commercial direction and the creative work that carried it through the growth period.
The Outcome
The business sold three years later for substantially more than its original purchase price.

Formats & Series

Turning a subject, personality or body of expertise into something watchable, repeatable and able to hold an audience.

Original formats, recurring series and structured content developed across broadcast, streaming, online video, education and brands. This is a current commercial method, not a history lesson.

The Easiest Cooking Show Ever

The Easiest Cooking Show Ever

TV series · with Kim McCosker, 4 Ingredients · Foxtel

The Problem
Kim McCosker had sold over eight million 4 Ingredients cookbooks — and television needed more than recipes. It needed a format: a shape a broadcaster could commission and a sponsor could stand behind.
The Strategy
Build the show around what made the books work — easy, affordable, for the whole family — and give it a world: a Sunshine Coast farmhouse, a barn kitchen, a host at home in it.
The Creative
Format development and production of the full series, commissioned for Foxtel, brand-sponsored, with Kim on camera throughout.
The Outcome
The series aired, sold its own companion cookbook off the back of it, and a second season is in development. A format that came full circle: books made the show, the show sells books.
